Summary
Serumx is a personal skincare planning and journaling app. We do not operate user accounts or cloud sync. Almost all data stays on your iPhone unless you choose to export or share it (for example, a PDF or system share sheet).
Serumx is not medical advice. It helps you track bottles, routines, and how your skin feels.
Information you provide
- Skin profile — feel tags, focus actives, and avoid actives you enter.
- Bottles — product names, actives, categories, photos, usage dates, and favorites.
- Routine & check-ins — which bottles are on AM/PM lanes and daily check-off status.
- Skin logs — notes, severity, feel tags, linked products, optional photos and voice notes.
- Calendar marks — planned acid/mask days and intensity.
- App preferences — reminder times, coin balance, achievements, and onboarding state.
Where data is stored
Data is stored locally on your device using iOS storage (UserDefaults and app sandbox files). Photos and voice recordings you attach are saved in the app’s private container on your device.
We do not upload your skincare content to our servers because Serumx has no backend database for user content.
Device permissions
Camera & Photo Library
Used only when you choose to add a bottle photo or skin log photo. You can deny access and still use text-only features.
Microphone
Used only when you record an optional voice note on a skin log entry.
Notifications
Used only if you enable routine, acid/mask, or nearing-empty reminders. You can turn these off anytime in Me → Routine Reminders or iOS Settings.
Purchases (In-App Purchases)
Serumx offers optional coin packs through Apple In-App Purchase for exports (PDF reports, bottle cards, weekly share). Payment is processed by Apple. We receive purchase confirmation from Apple to credit coins on your device. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Restore purchases is available where applicable through the Wallet screen.
Analytics & tracking
Serumx does not include third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell your personal information. The app does not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt for cross-app tracking.
Sharing & export
When you export a PDF or use the iOS share sheet, you choose where content goes (Mail, Files, Messages, etc.). That transfer is between you and the service you select.
Data deletion
You can delete individual bottles, logs, and photos inside the app. Me → Clear All Data removes local Serumx data from your device. Deleting the app also removes its sandbox data from your phone.
Children
Serumx is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date at the bottom will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
